Note: Cleo is no longer in our breed program. We have re-homed her as a Companion Havana Silk Dog to a wonderful, loving family in Oceanside, CA. Life is really good for Cleo we are so happy for our little girl!

Bydand Stolen Moment at Hurricane Ridge

Dedicated to Restoring the Original Cuban Breed.

A real adventurer (should have been named Dora) and little "gremlin" (fondly nicknamed after her mother like all the other Gremmy offspring), Cleo is quite the little pistol when it comes to play time with her stuffed animals; and the rest of the other ladies in the house should play with her or she'll take her stuffed toy off to another corner in the room and play by herself! For some reason, despite the fact that she is still very much a puppy, Cleo has decided that she should be the Alpha female in the house, but Isabella will have nothing of the sort. Ally continues to put Cleo down in her athletic quickness to tell her that she is third in line, and while Cleo submits in the moment, she is right back at it again. But don't let her brave & daring tenacity deceive you, she is quite the lover and very sweet in her personality. The serious-minded Cleo would rather be in your arms and be loved on or lay next to you and have you brush her beautiful silk coat... a spoiled little gremlin for sure.

Cleo was line-bred by Bill & Diane Klumb out of their Sonic x Gremmy at Bydand Havana Silks in Lexington, Virginia, January of 2009.  Sonic has been very successful at producing champion prodigy and we are hoping for nothing less with Cleo. She has the most excellent conformation and will carry Hurricane Ridge Havana Silks into a a new generation of breeding that conforms to the highest standards of Havana Silk Dog structure. Cleo also hallmarks the fine Bydand silk coat which is also a trademark of Hurricane Ridge Havana Silks. It has been undetermined exactly what color she is leaning towards. With her mother's blue and silver coat it is quite possible that Cleo is following in her pawprints, but at this time she tends to show more of the Havana brown highlights in her black coat. Cleo is in the process of getting all of her health testing completed and preparing for her future evaluation as a certified Havana Silk Dog.  She is currently provisionally certified.

All of Cleo's health testing has been completed and she did not pass her hips. She also has mild bowing of her front forelegs. Cleo has been spayed and will be switched over to a companion registration status upon re-homing.

A very playful girl. Cleo has been clipped down into a puppy cut. We have loved her well. But she will have some anxiety issues going from our home to yours because she is used to having us as her people.

Pics of Cleo clipped down the beginning of September 2011:

In the sun she shows as a black brindle with the rusty red highlights

Silly girl!
