We have our first 3rd generation litter born at Hurricane Ridge Havana Silks! Curtis x Ally litter whelped June 19, 2010 HSDAA Ch. Bydand in the Mood at Concordia x HSDAA Jr. Ch. HR's Charly Girl
We are so excited here at Hurricane Ridge Havana Silks as Ally just whelped her very first litter. Being her first time, she wasn't sure about everything that was happening to her, but like a pro she whelped 3 pups. Unfortunately, the 3rd pup, a boy, was still-born and under developed. We are very sad he didn't make it. But we turn our joy to the 2 girls who are healthy and strong. Ally is learning how to be a first time mommy. She dotes over her babies well and we are giving her a lot of support in her new role! Above all we are thrilled to see our Ally is able to produce some nice colors with Curtis! Welcome Curtis &Ally's Blessings Litter!

Black & Tan female with white markings
1 week old This week we just grew and grew. We doubled our weight! Our mommy Ally learned how to nurse us well and is just the best devoted mom ever! We love her!
Hope - 12.5 oz
Faith - 9.5 oz
2 weeks old We just keep growing and growing and we are eating well! Our mom is so protective of us and we just love to eat! Our eyes opened this last week and we are now creeping around everywhere.
Faith & Hope
Hope - 1 lb 4oz.
Faith - 15oz.
3 weeks old We are walking on all fours now and we really are enjoying playing with each other! Did we mention our mom is the best?!
Hope - 1 lb 13oz.
Faith - 1 lb. 6oz.
4 weeks old Can you believe it we are already 4 weeks old? We got to go on our first camping trip this weekend and we were really glad we got to stay inside on the heating pad where it was warm with our mommy. We are really enjoying getting up and moving out on all 4 paws. We are holding are own now and our tummies don't drag the ground! Rumor has it we are going to start getting weaned in the next week... we will hear of no such thing! We would like to discuss that there are some bigger versions of us (4 to be exact) running around the house and they sometimes sneak into our crate area. Sometimes they play nice and other times they think we should play all big and bad like them. But then our mom comes to the rescue and kicks them out before anybody gets into any more trouble. We love our mom; don't know what we'd do without her!
Hope - 2 lbs. 5 oz.
Faith - 1 lb. 11oz.
5 weeks old We are really having fun running around! We have been going outside too, and boy is that an interesting place to be! Against our will, our mom has been banned from our crate area for a couple of days since we have been getting weaned. We hate it! But the master has been giving us something else instead, its okay, but not the same as mom. Wonder when we can go back to nursing?
Hope - 2 lbs 10 oz.
Faith - 2 lbs
6 weeks old We are teething and chewing on everything! We love to go outside and run around. The master makes us run across the big field every day for exercise and boy does that get tiring, because Hope is so fat (we nicknamed her "Pudge") and because Faith is so tiny her little legs barely bring her above the tall grass!
Hope - 2 lbs 13 oz.
Faith - 2 lbs
7 weeks old We have now graduated to hanging out with the big dogs. But we still have to be monitored. Ever since Uncle Shaw left, the San Juan Islands pack has been unsettled and so both Faith and I made our move into the pack to find our place amongst them! Faith still gets picked on the most because she is the tiniest, but that doesn't stop her!
Hope - 3 lbs 2 oz.
Faith - 2 lbs 6oz. (Available)
8 weeks old What a big week this has been! On Monday we went to Seattle and had our hearing checked and boy did we NOT like that! We both threw little fits about have something stuck in our ear...wouldn't you? Then we went and had our eyes tested and we didn't mind that so much especially when the vet kept saying nice things about our pretty eyes. Then on Friday we had our 8 week HSDA conformation evaluations and on Saturday we were tortured for our 8 week soaps. We are thinking that is just about enough poking and prodding, but now we hear we have to go to another veterinarian. Mom says it has something to do with a well puppy check. Well, last time we checked, we were feeling just fine, do we really have to go?
(road trip to Seattle for BAERs and CERFs)
Our 8 week soaps
Hope/Pudge - 3 lbs 8 oz. (Show/Breed home-not available)
Faith - 2 lbs 11 oz. (available to companion home)
Check back weekly and watch us grow!
