1 Week Old!

This week we have been nursing non-stop and on Day 3 our master started these crazy exercises with us called neurological stimulation. Quite personally, its stressful enough just getting to our next meal... we have all pretty much doubled our weight!

2 Weeks Old

Boy are we really enjoying growing! Two days ago we started opening our eyes and now we are going from creeping to trying to push our selves up off the ground! We are still doing our neurological stimulation exercises which we get to graduate from this coming week!

3 Weeks Old

This week we have been been discovering each other and getting up on all fours with more confidence. It's fun to play. We hear noises and we are starting to growl and bark. We are starting to use the potty pad too! Pretty soon we will be able to regulate our own body temperature!

4 Weeks Old

We are eating, playing, growling, sort-of barking, teething, ...running around! We had our very first baths this week...what was that warm blowy thing?

Did we mention that we are so big and that we use the pee pad really well now?

5 Weeks Old

Oh my goodness are we growing! We are eating puppy kibble now mixed in a gruel. We are being weaned from our mother (she is not happy about this) and we love to get out of the crate and run all over the place! We even get to play with all the big dogs...it's a lot of fun. Just recently we started getting our teeth in. Wow are they sharp and we can chew our food (and each other) with them! But our owner keeps telling us to chew bones instead! We got our nails done and our paws trimmed. We are lookin' good!

6 Weeks Old

We went outside for the first time this week and also got to go the Pacific Ocean in our first car ride! What's that green stuff and the big wet blue thing? We are so active and love to run around! We even love chasing the big dogs! Our teeth are still coming in and they are very useful for grabbing onto our toys. We get played with by humans a lot too. We really like them, especially when they rub our bellies and ears...ahhhhhhhh!

7 Weeks Old

This week will be a big week for us as we will get our eyes examined by the veterinarian ophthalmologist on Thursday and our hearing tested on Monday. which means big road trips to Seattle and we heard we get to go camping with our two-footed people this coming weekend... can't wait to roast marshmallows by the fire and scare each other with the shadows at night!

We have been learning how to go potty outside now as the master is crate training us. It is so much fun to run around with the big dogs. And we found some other little creatures like us in the house that seem much less advanced than us. We are very curious about them. The master says they are our nieces. What does that mean?

8 Weeks Old

What a big week we had! We went camping and got loved on by all the little kids, we had our eyes tested and all of us are clear of any eye diseases, we had our hearing tested (we really hated the loud clicks in our ears-hello... we could have told you we hear just fine), and then we were all evaluated according to our club's HSD standard today on our birthday and we are all looking fine! Of course we knew that too!

Lopez - 3 lbs. 3 oz

I am cool and confident. I do not need to pretend to be the alpha when I know I AM the alpha. I really want to be in high places. One day I am going to achieve what my dad has been achieving in the show ring. I scored a 98 on my eval today and my master says I get to go to a show/breed home to see if I am good enough for stud... woo hoo!

Shaw - 3 lbs. 11 oz

I am the boss... don't believe a word Lopez says... and just because I haven't put him down, it's not because I can't, it's because I choose not to. Yeah, that's right! But what I say, goes, around here. Why doesn't everybody listen to me? I am guessing they just haven't tuned in to my channel yet. But I am way cool, big and bad! I like to make all the noise to let everyone know it is me they should listen to, NOT Lopez! Oh yeah, and you know how you saw Lopez standing over me.. I let him...haha! Wasn't that funny?

I am sooooo excited. I just found out I get to go live with Sam (my half brother from mom's litter before this one). I just know we are going to be best bros. He's going to show me everything cool in my new home-can't wait!

Sucia - 3 lbs. 3oz

I am fearless and adventuresome. I love to explore new places and leap off of tall things. I am the first one that tries out new things and when I get older I wanna be a stunt double. Seriously though boys...line up and take a number, because I am going to be looking for some really nice studs out there one day. But of course, don't call me, I'll call you (or that is, my people will call your people). And watch out because I am really fast and will out run and out smart any of you! Oh, and by the way, I know I am beautiful!

Eliza - 3 lbs.

I am a big deal in a little package. I am as sweet as can be and just love to explore! I tend to be a little bossy (because I can) but no one seems to mind and my cuteness balances it all out anyway. I am looking for a wonderful pet/companion home to go live in. What do you think? Oh, did I mention I am as cute as a button?

9 Weeks Old

Where does the time go? This is it. Our last official week at Hurricane Ridge and then we are ready to go home to our new families. We are really going to miss our brothers and sisters. We have been so used to having them around. But then we are hearing stories about all the wonderful places where we are going and we just start to get so excited about it. Some of will even being seeing each other in the show ring and will be making history with the Havana Silk Dogs. Rumor has it our mom and dad had such a great time together making us that they are going to do it again! We would love to meet up with more brothers and sisters just like us, because, well, we just think we are quite wonderful!

"Enzo" will be going to a show home in Illinois and will have the name Hurricane Ridge's Lorenzo Tesoro Mio, Luke will be going to a companion home in California and his official name will be Hurricane Ridge's Lukaks, Melody is going to a show home in Michigan and will be Hurricane Ridge's Heart Song of Selah, and Eliza is waiting for a name from her forever family yet to be!
